The Fair Trader Story
In 2009 a group of fair trade enthusiasts set out to create a local ethical co-operative. They recognised the human and environmental cost of many cheap products. In 2010 they launched the six-room Holmfirth store, website and events.

We are proud to:
-
Know all about our product makers, materials and workplaces
-
Be a volunteer-owned and -run co-operative
-
Have survived the financial and retail crises
-
Trail blaze and deliver sustainable, ethical trading
-
Support farmers and families around the world to get a better deal
-
Be not-for-profit; any surplus is reinvested in our supplier producers
-
Reduce waste and run a small recycling centre.
