Dionne Swift creates beautiful silver jewellery inspired by her observations and sketches of leaves. The jewellery reflects her drawn lines and is simple and elegant
Dionne feels deeply rooted in the process of creativity and searches for honesty in her making. She aims to be true to the materials used, seeking to extract and enhance their natural potential. She has worked as a textile artist for many years, specialising in free machine embroidery. Central to her process is observing, drawing and reacting to the environment. Recent explorations with metal have led to a collection of silver jewellery, and we are excited to show this as part of our featured@fair trader in July.

Dionne Swift lives and works in Holmfirth, West Yorkshire. She specialised in Textiles and Machine Embroidery as a student at Goldsmith’s College, London University, and went on to complete her Masters at UCE, Birmingham.
Dionne has been creating, exhibiting and teaching for over 30 years. She describes her making as a meditation – she gets lost inits rhythm, yet she works at speed and her work is full of vitality and energy
