Fairtrade Fortnight 2016 – All Day Breakfast
Updated: May 23, 2018
Sit down for breakfast, stand up for farmers.
As part of Holme Valley Fairtrade’s fortnight of events, Fair Trader had a stall in the Holmfirth Upper Market Hall.
We were also promoting fabulous Grumpy Mule coffees, locally roasted at Meltham. Fairtrade means that communities choose how to spend the Fairtrade Premium – maybe on a school or health centre, teachers or midwives or clean water – and the coffee tastes great too!
Volunteers Greta, Judy, Kathryn and Michelle braved the freezing day to publicise Fair Trader and encourage people to pop along to the shop.
We were kept amused by the local Scouts, who were on the next stall, with their ‘Human Fruit Machine’ game of chance!
We sold goods, especially Grumpy Mule coffees and sent folk along to the shop, where wall-to-wall men buying Mother’s Day gifts contributed to a bumper day!
