Yorkshire in stunning photographs
Michael Forster Jones is a talented wildlife and nature photographer whose images regularly feature in the region’s press. He has kindly agreed to fill our large window with his framed photographs celebrating Seed Gathering Season, an annual campaign of the Tree Council.
Originally from Anglesey, Michael has lived In Holmfirth for 37 years and now spends much of his retired leisure time in the hills surrounding his home, photographing the wildlife, landscape and life generally. The constantly changing skies and vistas in Holmfirth and the surrounding Pennine area provide many sources of inspiration and subject material.
Michael also volunteers with the conservation charity River Holme Connections and uses his stunning photos to create their yearly calendars. These can be bought instore at Fair Trader or by visiting River Holme Connections’ website.
Michael produces wonderful images of iconic Yorkshire wildlife in its natural habitat. From owls to fungi, water voles to birds of prey, these photographs show the wild and beautiful Holme Valley at its best.
