The multi-tonal cotton fabric’s colour and texture effects are created by handweaving numerous distinct coloured strands together. These fabrics have a modest two-tone effect that makes them appear somewhat different in various lighting conditions and can help mask some of the wear and tear of regular use. There are occasionally tiny colour variations between batches due to the small batch hand-dying process.
Made by artisans in a Nepalese collective with a Global Fair Trade Organization certification. The WFTO member workshop employs over 25 women, thus providing them with opportunities. This includes several deaf women who communicate with the production manager using sign language.
Please be aware that the JOGI’s zip ends are not stitched in. This design is intentional since it makes it possible to carry bigger items without placing stress on the zip ends, thereby extending the life of the bag.

- AURA QUE works closely with small producer groups that are WFTO (World Fair Trade Organisation) members. Ensuring not only healthy and safe work environments but also payment of living wages is a priority for AURA QUE.
- The company aims to carbon offset all its air miles which reduces its carbon footprint. The manufacturing process aims to use minimal machinery. For example, most of the sewing machines rely on motion foot pedals instead of using energy supplies. Reusing and recycling as much as possible reduces wastage, both in the office and the workshops.
