WHY WE SOURCED THIS SUPPLIER
- The organic cork-printed placemats and coasters in Liga’s Signature Collection are made using eco-friendly cork. Cork is a sustainable crop. Cork is harvested in Portugal every 9 years, and the process does not harm the tree. This means that the tree can continue to grow, ready for the next harvest.
- The cork Montado Forests provide essential homes for many endangered species which means whilst these lovely coasters and placemats enhance your home, they also allow endangered wildlife to keep theirs. Did you know that cork also continues to absorb CO2 even in its new life as a LIGA product – amazing.
- LIGA also use recycled cork from wine bottles. If you are local to Holmfirth, please pop into the shop and pass your used corks to a staff member. Other recycling locations can be found on the LIGA website.
