Delivery Information

All orders are processed the same day if received before 12pm, and the next business day after 12pm (excluding weekends and holidays). You will receive an email when your email has been received, followed by another notification when your order has been processed. 

We will endeavour to get your order posted as soon as possible, but sometimes events outside of our control, such as high volumes of orders and postal disruptions can delay processing. 

Shipping rates

UK delivery is charged at a flat rate of £4.95 for orders under £50.

Orders over £50 (excluding shipping fee) qualify for free delivery.

Free collection from our Holmfirth store is also available – simply choose this option at checkout. 


Orders are delivered by Royal Mail and are sent by 24-hour or 48-hour tracked postage, depending on your choice.

For 24-hour delivery, please allow 1-3 working days for your package to arrive. For 48-hour delivery, please allow 3-5 working days.

Christmas 2023 – we will be closed on the 24th and 25th of December and the 1st January. No orders will be processed on these days.

In-store collection

If you live locally to Holmfirth, you can skip the delivery fees and collect your order from our store. After placing your order and selecting local pickup at checkout, your order will be prepared and we will send you an email when your order is ready along with instructions. Orders will usually be ready to collect the next business day.

Our in-store pickup hours are 10.00 – 16.00 on Monday – Saturday. Please have your order confirmation email with you when you come.

International Shipping

We currently do not offer international shipping, but this is something we may add in the future. If you are based outside of the UK and would like to order from Fair Trader, please contact us via email. 

How do I check the status of my order?

When your order has shipped, you will receive an email notification which will include a tracking number you can use to check its status. Please allow 48 hours for the tracking information to become available.

If you haven’t received your order within 7 days of receiving your shipping confirmation email, please contact us at with your name and order number, and we will look into it for you.

Shipping to P.O. boxes

We currently do not allow shipping to P.O. boxes.

Refunds, returns, and exchanges

We accept returns up to 14 days after delivery if the item is unused and in its original condition, and we will refund the full order amount minus the shipping costs for the return.

In the event that your order arrives damaged in any way, please email us as soon as possible at with your order number and a photo of the item’s condition. We address these on a case-by-case basis but will try our best to work towards a satisfactory solution.
