Nutscene have been making their twine for over 100 years at their base in rural Angus, Scotland. The original machinery from 1922 is still used in production although the range of products has increased somewhat since the early days of the company. Nutscene employs its workers from the surrounding area, thus supporting the local economy. The company uses both sustainable and environmentally friendly materials wherever possible, including biodegradable jute, recycled cotton twine and wood from FSC sources. The jute twine in the hamper is 130m long and a traditional green colour.
As well as twines, Nutscene make a range of soaps and skincare products. The Gardeners Scrub is a useful addition for any gardener. Palm oil free and kind to the skin, the scrub also contains no synthetic ingredients and is handmade in Scotland
Jones the Bones Muscle and Joint Oil is a natural oil specifically formulated for osteopathic use. Made from ethically sourced pure plant and essential oils, and containing no nut oils. parabens or sulphates. Use it to ease aching joints after a long day working in the garden.
