The New Overseas Handmade Soap Holder is a lovely addition to any home. About 60 Fair Trade craftspeople from communities in South India create these soap holders. Individuals carry out every part of the process by hand, from softening the raw clay to shaping it on the potter’s wheel, firing it in wood-burning kilns, glazing it, and finally packing it.
The year round employment allows the artisans to enjoy a good quality of life in the rural surroundings.
The unit supports a school of 350 pupils.
