Bethlehem Baubles use recycled glass in their baubles, and each one is hand blown and painted. Every bauble is therefore unique. They are a social enterprise, employing Christian, Jewish and also Muslim workers. This contributes positively to not only the economy, but also the cultural and religious life in this turbulent part of the world. The baubles use recycled glass, particularly old windows and bottles, and are blown to be thicker than normal glass baubles, thus making them more robust.
Choc Affair is an ethical, award winning and independent company based in Yorkshire. They follow Fair Trade standards, hence ensuring a living wage for cocoa farmers. Additionally their cocoa is from sustainable sources and all their chocolate is palm oil free. The Christmas Pudding Hot Chocolate is an indulgent treat, with flavours of festive spices and fruits in a rich dark chocolate base. Suitable for vegans.
The stained glass votive candle holder from Ian Snow adds a touch of colour and light to any room. Use as part of a dining table decoration, or simply as an accent in a lounge or hallway. Ian Snow recommend using battery powered tea-lights in the votive (not included). Ian Snow work with makers and companies around the world. They ensure that all partners provide not only fair wages but also good working conditions for all employees.
The pretty drawstring recycled sari bag from Namaste is a perfect size for either gifting or using for storage. It uses sari fabric offcuts from the Indian garment industry. The offcuts would otherwise go to landfill. Namaste supports small producers and so aims to help suppliers move towards economic security.
